The linkage between education for sustainable development (ESD) and digital education is examined through a university seminar. As a basis, the classification for learning with, about and through media is expanded to include the learning topic of sustainability to form the six-field matrix DiNa. In the seminar, the two learning topics are analysed in the context of multiperspective primary social and science education. The article classifies the students' excursion plans and lesson plans in the matrix and evaluates the linkage of the learning topics.
