Abstract

Knowledge deficits in the field of climate change adaptation (CCA) show that this topic has not yet been sufficiently integrated into educational landscapes. Therefore, we developed Klim:S21, a digital Serious Game to educate young players about CCA. To ensure successful game development, the beta-version of the game was investigated in a formative evaluation. The examination of the usability (N = 120) and the learning effect (n = 52) propose opportunities for improvement of Klim:S21 and confirm the game as a functioning learning tool.
